To me anything forgotten, misunderstood, or disregarded as not worth of attention is EXACTLY where I should shine my curious light on. To make them heroes and embed them in a different but familiar world. Then the final step in this process is to introduce them to a hesitant population in a gentle way.
I grow a raspberry on the side of a busy street in the middle of a notoriously dangerous neighborhood, I connect a 300 million year old strain of fungi to the process of mourning, I transform an old broken fish market chair into an unstable guitar stand.
